6 Small and Simple Things :)

Hola Familia!
I am so glad to hear that you guys are all doing so well! Things here are really good! It has definitley been a week of a lot of work but it has been so great! On Tuesday we were able to take time for my companion to get her stuff all organized and to meet a couple of the members, We also had our district class and they have changed the zone and district here in Vallarta so we are the only sisters in our district :( Its a bummer haha but its all good! We had 2 zones here before and now it is just one and each district is all the missionaries from each ward! So it is more logical now and it is going to be easier for us all to work together to help our wards! So that is something great! This week was kinda a weird week for me because Im not used to explaining everything we are supposed to do. haha and it is hard to get used to! But it has been a fun week! Hermana Espinosa learns really fast and is a really great missionary! This week we were able to find some new investigators and to see some progress!

We had Stake Conference this weekend and it was amazing! Elder Piper from the 70 came and it was so cool! I love his talks he gives! We also got to see President and Sister Wagner and that is always great(: haha In the Stake conference they talked a lot about the  importance of Family council, ward council and like stake council. And how it is that through these things we can all be strengthened! And it was reallly good! A lot of our less active members went and some investigators as well so that was a very good thing!

I know last week I didnt have much time to write but we had a sisters conference about the importance of doing the small and simple things and that really has made me think a lot! I have thought a lot about how not only do I need to do the small and simple things but I also need to appreciate the small and simple things here because before I know it I wont be here anymore.. So some of the small and simple things here that I love are
1. We have to go to another state to go to the Church.
2. Every morning when we leave the house our neighbors little dog comes and barks at us because she wants to play.
3. Every time we eat with the Rodriguez family they give us coca-cola(: haha
4. All the members in this ward keep telling me to just buy a house because i never get transfered haha
5. The sunsets are absolutley beautiful
6.Nobody can say my last name
I know there are more but I cant think of them right now haha but it is something I am really trying to be better at. Paying more attention to each of the little blessings in my life! I am so blessed and am so thankful for you guys as my family and all that you do for me! I hope you all have an amazing week!! I love you guys so much!
Love always,

I am so excited to train and Hermana Espinosa is such a great missionary! She is so excited to be here andis not afraid of anything! haha she is so excited to learn and to grow and to teach the gospel to all those around her! My last week with Hermana Santana was good! It was hard having transfers but she has been put as a sister training leader in another area! So that is super exciting! I know this email isnt much better than the one yesterday but I love you guys so much and hope you all have an amazing week(: Thanks for everything(:

Letter from President Wagner

Mexico Guadalajara Mission

February 9, 2015

Dear Searle Family,

Your daughter Sister Searle, has been serving with distinction in the México Guadalajara Mission and in the transfers on January 5, 2015 she was assigned to be a  Senior Companion in San Vicente 4  Area. Puerto Vallarta1 Zone.

This is a great responsibility and she will grow as she magnifies this new assignment.

We appreciate all the hard work she has done in the past and expect she will have even more success in this new assignment.

Thank you for letting us enjoy  Sister Searle in the mission.

Sincerely,

G. Wesley Wagner

President

Faith :)

Oh! One last story! this week some elders here had a baptism and we went to it and it was of two little kids and the little girl who is 9 is deathly afraid of water and when it was time for her to get baptized she got really nervous and the Elder couldnt baptize her, so Hermana Santana and I decided to talk to her and try to help calm her down a little bit and we told her that it was all going to be okay and we even did breath holding practices with her and she asked us if we could sit infront of the font so she could see us. We did and she then got baptized and it was such a spiritual experince to see the faith of this little girl. She put her trust in the Lord and overcame her biggest fear and I dont even know how to explain it all but it was such a great moment. When she came out of the water she was so happy and yesterday when she got confirmed she was even happier! It is such a blessing to see the things like this here and to see how much our Heavenly father loves each and everyone of us!
I hope you guys have a great week! I love you all so much(:

Service :)

Hola Familia!
Well this week was pretty good! We are really working a lot with the partial member families here! And it has been really good! We are really focusing on helping the less actives of these families come back to church to help their family members see the blessings of the gospel! This week we also had splits with our sister Training leader, sister mills. And that was fun! I got to work with sister mills and we had a good time! We also were able to do a lot of service this week! I love being able to do service here because it is always so fun! On friday we helped Berenice, one of our investigators, clean her house because her daughter, Fernanda, has been really sick. Last year she was in the hospital for her kidney and has started to have a few problems again, And since Berenice is single, working, and has another little boy we decided to help her out a little. It was actually really fun and it was great to know that she has one less thing to worry about! Yesterday, they went to church and Fernanda was able to recieve a blessing and today she feels so much better! And it was such a blessing to see her mom so happy and it really helped strenghten the faith of Berenice(: This week we have also been working a lot with Enrique and Carla! Enrique is an investigator and Carla is an inactive member that has started coming back to church. They have 2 little boys, Edzon and Franco! They were in church yesterday and it was so great! There are some people that when we start teaching them we just can feel their desires to learn and that is the case with this family! They are such a great family and if all goes as planned Enrique and Franco will be getting baptized March 28th(: Berenice, the less active, and her cute kids were also in church this week and Berenice has progessed sooo much(: She also found a job and is doing so much better and so are her cute little kids(: We have seen a lot of miracles this week and I am so thankful for all the progress I have seen in this area since when I first got here! It is the last week of our transfers, so i might get transfered next week but if I do I feel good leaving the area in Hermana Santanas hands! I love this work and I love being here! I am so thankful for you guys and all your love and support and I am so glad all is going well back home! I love you guys so much and I hope you have an amazing week!!

Happy Girl:)

Hola familia!!
Thank  you guys for all the emails and pictures! It is weird to think im in he second half of my mission! Time flies! Also, thank you guys for all the cards you sent for Christmas! I got them on Thursday and it was great(: Thank you guys so much! This week has been really good! It has been super rainy, but good! We had a lot of really good lessons this week and we also had interviews with president Wagner! Those are always really good! Im really thankful for him and sister wagner! This week we have been trying to really help our investigators have a better understanding of the things we are teaching them and it has been really good! We have an investigator right now named Enrique. His wife is a less active member who has started coming back to church and they have 2 little kids and are such a great family! I love watching them progress! Karla, the wife, gets so excited to explain the things she remembers to her husband and her kids and they are all so happy! Their oldest boy, Franco, will be turining 8 this month and wants to get baptized as well! We are hoping that Enrique and Franco can get baptized together in March(: We have also seen a lot of progress with some of our less active members here as well! And the sisters in the ward have been teaching with us a lot this week and it has been really helpful! This week we also were able to clean the church and make sure it was all spotless for Church yesterday! haha. Also this week we have seen the blessings of the members trusting in us. As a missionary I have been able to help people in ways I didnt think I could. the members and our investigators really trust us, therefore they often times explain all of their hardships to us. Sometimes it is really hard and really sad but it is amazing to know through the gospel of Jesus Christ they can find the peace and help they need to any problem they may be facing! I am so thankful for these past 9 months I have had to be serving my Savior and for the miracles I have seen in the lives of others. I am so thankful for the love my Heavenly Father has for me and for the strength he has given me. I cant even explain how amazing being a missionary is but I am so grateful for this time I have here. I have thought a lot about the first half of my mission this week and I know with out a doubt there is no other place I could have learned all the things I have learned here. I feel so blessed to be a missionary in such a beautiful place and to have such a great support system back home as well! I am so thankful for you guys and all you do for me and I am so glad that everyone is still doing well back home! I love you guys so much and I am so glad to have you guys as my family! I hope you guys have an amazing week!! I love you guys(:
Love always,
Hermana Searle
